How To Join:

Joining the Cypress Net is is quite easy whether you are a local operator or located elsewhere. Follow these Cypress Net simple rules and you'll find yourself owning one of our great Cypress Net certificates. At this time there are no dues or charges to become a member of the Cypress Net .

How To Get A Cypress Net Number:

Work 1 IQ (Instant Qualifier)*

or

Work 5 Cypress Net members

then

Complete the online Application

*  All Cypress Net with a membership lower than 2101 (1 through 1755 and 2007 through 2100) are Instant Qualifiers for membership in the Cypress Net .

You must work the Cypress Member using a legal exchange, adding the exchange of the Cypress Net number:

A legal contact must be a two-way contact exclusively on ten meters. A legal contact consists of the call, 10-10 number, name, date, and QTH (state or country). At no time is it acceptable for a 10-10 number to be relayed via a third station. No matter what the 10-1o International organization or the ARRL says all contacts for Cypress awards and memberships must be operator to operator. No remote bases, auxiliary stations, repeaters. EchoLink or any other Internet driven technologies are permitted.

QSL verification of the contacts is NOT required. You may use a contacts chapter list to apply for Cypress Net membership. For example, you work me on 10 meters and we simply exchange 10-10 numbers. Later we exchange chapter lists via email and you see that I am an IQ for the Cypress Net . Your QSO with me is valid towards Cypress Net membership because my Cypress Net number is contained on my chapter list. Or you may work me and later get my chapter list but I am NOT an IQ, you can use this QSO towards the 5 contact requirement. If you have any questions about qualifying for Cypress Net membership please use our Contact Us page.

We've attempted to make the application process as easy as possible and would appreciate your comments (via our Contact Us page) should you encounter any snags.

Membership Privileges:

Becoming a member of Cypress Net allows you to become an active member of an international organization whose main goal is to promote the use of the 10 meter amateur radio band, regardless of modes used. While some amateur radio nets are traffic nets, county nets. WAS nets, PSK nets, CW nets, RTTY nets and so on you will find the Cypress Net (and the Ten-Ten Organization as a whole) to be more of a social net.

This allows you to become both and elmer and enthusiast, teacher and student. Many are the times during a day will come up when someone will have a need for help with ham radio in general, ham radio antennas, computers or computer software. Hopefully you will step forward when you can offer assistance to those in need.
