The Cypress Chapter Endorsements

The Cypress Chapter has a rather ambitious endorsement program, one designed to be challenging and yet achievable by all license classes in the US. Just working the endorsements contained on this page alone will add 1000 points to your overall point standing.

The station you work for any endorsements must be completed following the Ten-Ten International's definition of an exchange. Which is:

A legal 10-10 contact must be a two-way contact exclusively on ten meters. A legal contact consists of the call, 10-10 number, name, date, and QTH (state or country). At no time is it acceptable for a 10-10 number to be relayed via a third station. These requirements for a legal 10-10 contact have been affirmed by the Board of Directors.

Endorsements:

The Swamps & Scenics

This endorsement is a 6 stage program that will give you an additional 600 on air points once the entire set of Swamps and Scenics is completed. More information about this endorsement can be found on the Swamps & Scenics Endorsement page (click here).

Awards:

Digital Award

To encourage to use of 10 meters and the digital amateur radio modes we offer the Cypress Chapter Digital Award. This was set up as a separate Cypress Chapter award due to the many digital modes available to the amateur radio operator today. More information about the Digital Award can be found on this page.

Worked All Florida Counties Award

This is by far the most difficult Cypress Chapter Award to achieve, and the only one requiring QSL card verification. Each of the 67 Florida counties must be contacted on the 10 meter band with a member of Ten-Ten International. Membership in the Cypress Chapter is NOT a requirement for this award and you can find more information about this award on the Worked All Florida Counties page (click here).

Out of all the awards and endorsements that the Cypress Chapter offers the Swamps and Scenics is the only sequential award. A sequential award is one that must be completed in stages, you cannot go on to stage 2 until stage 1 is completed.
