Big Mouth Special

The Big Mouth of the Month will be chosen from the local Cypress Chapter membership by the illustrious committee charged with overseeing this event.

In the spirit of fair play any Cypress Chapter member picked as a Big Mouth is expected to accept the monthly assignment.

Each Big Mouth will serve out a term consisting of an average of 30 days. The actual time period being from meeting to meeting when the Big Mouth Trophy changes from their hands to the next Big Mouth.

Once you are determined to be a Big Mouth it will be your responsibility to determine who the next Big Mouth will be when your term is up. As a Big Mouth you will also be the one who passes the Big Mouth trophy off to the new Big Mouth. The Big Mouth trophy can only be passed by the current Big Mouth and it can only be passed off during a Cypress Chapter meeting.

The committee's decision on who is a Big Mouth is final, no appeals to Cypress Chapter officers will change the fact that you are a Big Mouth.

Unlike the Swamp Rat, you will be known to everyone on the 10 meter band as a Big Mouth. News of you being a Big Mouth will be spread through whatever means necessary by everyone attending the meeting where you are determined to be a Big Mouth.

As a Big Mouth, you can only be worked for points on the 10 meter band using any mode your license allows.

For each person that works you they will be awarded 10 points for their on-air points while you will be awarded 25 points for being a Big Mouth.

The Big Mouth will be presented to each monthly recipient by our Big Mouth Committee. The Big Mouth will retain the trophy until the end of their tour of duty. Each Big Mouth will be required to be active on 10 meters, early hours or late hours are acceptable. The Big Mouth will stay within the 28.300mhz to 28.500mhz area so as to not discriminate against our Technician class licensees.
