Cypress Net of Amateur Radio Operators

K4RRF DX Award - Cypress Net

This is a points only award, no certificates. It may sound easy but it will soon prove to be a test of your antenna system for sure. The objective is to work DX stations on the 10 meter band and the DX station does not need to have a 10-10 number. Only contacts made on or after 01 June 2008 can be used for this award.

The award works like this:

  • Work 25 DX stations on 10 you get 25 points.
  • Work 50 DX stations on 10 you get 50 points.
  • Work 100 DX stations on 10 you get 100 points.
  • All DX contacts must take place in the same month.
  • All submissions must be made using the form provided below.

Submission form must be filed within the month following the month you are claiming (if you worked the DX in March then you must submit the application no later than the end of April). Mail the application in plenty of time or it could be disqualified.

K4RRF DX AWARD APPLICATION

This award suggested by Ray, K4RRF DXer extraordinaire. Thanks to Ray for suggesting this award and for keeping the juices flowing when DX, Lighthouses, or special events show up on the ham bands.

F.A.Q.

Q: If I work  PY2XYZ in June can I  work him again in July and receive credit in both months? (tnx - W5IHN)

A: Yes. For this points based award DX is DX, there will be no database of your personal contacts compiled. This may tempt some to cheat on the contacts but you only cheat yourself.

Q: Can I submit the information via email?

A: No and yes. No, you can't put the DX info into and email and send it it. Yes, you can fill out the form, scan it and then attach it to an email.

Q: Where can I download the certificate for the K4RRF DX Award?

A: This is a points only program, no certificate is available.
